At our 2024-2025 Employee Recognition Program on May 19, we awarded a Distinguished Educator and an Outstanding Employee from each of our 31 schools. Also recognized were employees from across our school district who received “Special Honors” awards. See the complete list of award recipients: https://5il.co/3gp7r

The “Pride in the Randolph County School System (RCSS)” program honors employees who consistently demonstrate pride in the school system and exemplify strong character and commitment in their everyday work. While the program primarily highlights smaller, often unnoticed acts of dedication, it also recognizes exceptional efforts tied to larger events when appropriate.
Employees chosen for this recognition are awarded a “Pride in the Randolph County School System” lapel pin. Recipients are selected by members of the RCSS Leadership Team, school principals, or Board of Education members.
The following pages list the “Pride in RCSS” pin recipients from May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025. We extend our sincere thanks to these outstanding employees for their dedication to the Randolph County School System.

It's time to recognize our hard-working high school students. High School Awards Day is this Thursday, May 22nd, starting at 9:00 am.

RCSS is experiencing a system-wide internet outage. This impacts our phone systems as well. Our district staff is working to resolve this issue. Thank you for your patience.

A huge congratulations are in order for Zane York (10th grade) this school year. He is exceptionally talented, and we are incredibly proud of his musical achievements this past school year. In the 2024-2025 school year, Zane made All-County Band as the 1st Chair Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Bassoon, as well as All-District Band as the 1st Chair Bass Clarinet and Bassoon, as well as 4th Chair Clarinet. His All-District Band achievements made him eligible to audition on all three instruments for All-State Band, and he chose to audition by playing the bass clarinet. Zane earned 1st Chair Bass Clarinet at his All-State Band audition, qualifying him to audition for the prestigious NC All-State Orchestra. In addition to these outstanding accomplishments, Zane also earned 3rd Chair Clarinet in the UNCG Honors Band, as well as earning an acceptance to the UNCP Honors Band.
